Speedo read 149 leptons in the old mans wagon on the way home from Nick's one time, Dad reckons he's seen between 150 & 155 leptons, although I think that maybe oneupmanship.

With all this talk of top speeds perhaps we should look at a runway day next year, anyone up for this??
Possibly the only former owner of Black Legnum VR4 with Manual shift & Moonroof who now owns a Hamilton Silver Galant.

I was talking to a guy from FBI Performance and they were thinking of doing one, could be a good event I think if they do it. Has there been much top speed events in the past in NZ?

This was in mine (on a German Autobahn of course). It's not so much the mph which is interesting but the RPM ...

theres been alot of talk of this sort of thing before (track day). in the end people were still in the process of modding thier cars, some couldnt come cos of work and family commitments and finacial issues etc etc..

think there was a few people wanting to just turn up and watch.
think if i remember correctly, people running down the track had to have helment, fireproof suit? and fire extinguisher... and current WOF?

Which shows as i've always said.. That Auto's are geared to approx 190mph(on the speedo) at our Max RPM (Realistically 180mph)

If i recall correctly, my RPM was showing somewhere between 6000/6500rpm when i recorded my highest speed..

Rich - that warning light that is there, is that not the seatbelt light???

A stock manual will get to 230kmh in 5th at 6000rpm, and 268kmh at 7000rpm. A stock auto car will get to 267kmh at 6000rpm and 312kmh at 7000rpm. Considering how small our turbos are and that the max power is always around 5500-6000rpm, the auto's will be faster at the top end.
