    Three 8G's at an intersection

Today I saw something that you don't see very often, coming the other way to me at a big intersection in Penrose was 3 8G's, from left to right there was a facelift Indigo Blue 1.8 or 2.4 gdi Legnum, then a Trigger Mauve prefacelift Galant VR-4, and lastly a Trigger Mauve prefacelift 25ST Legnum.

They did look nice all lined up, the Galant had been lowered and its headlights were about 50mm lower down than the other two!

I need to move to NZ based on this evidence (and the fact that I can hear my greenhouse being destroyed by the gale outside too!). My mate was there last week and said there were tons of VR4s (and Subarus too unfortunately).
No more VR-4s left. It's all over.

Dick, good idea but you're potentially on your way to the dark side - getting rid of your VR4. Not that I'm bitter, it will just mean that I'm the only Legnum owner in the village.....!

Menstrie? Oooh, I know it well. My Gran was born and brought up there many moons ago, and her dad (Mr Congleton, can't remember his first name) is one of those on the War memorial. I'll need to have a drive through there the next time I'm up that way, and see if I can spot you two.

Drop us a note and we'll make sure the cars are out on display - Pete has 2 and I have 1...must surely be the vainest thing to do with a car but they are pretty rare (although this particular street is running rife with them!) so worth a wee bit of effort! I'll need to find the war memorial and see what he was called, surely you knew him as Great Grandad?
