    Question Tiptronic

My VR4 is tiptronic. I was just wondering if I keep accelerating when shifting gears?onder:

Bought mine in Jan, still getting used to it. It just failed a warrant with a little chassis damage that should have been picked up by the last warrant. Pissed off!!!!!!!!!

Ultra, just keep your foot on the accelerator when you change gear. Are you aware it will automatically go into 1st when you come close to or actually to a stop, so no need to change down all the time.

I tend to leave mine in auto. The ECU "learns" your style of driving and auto for daily use is sooooo easy !

Never really used the tiptronic part of the box, I'm way too lazy, I just leave it in auto.
But yeah, just floor it and change up when you want.

Look out for the pics of Japfest !
He means, look out for the 'very wet' pictures of Jap Fest.. :INSERT INTO post VALUES (
Chucking it down today so I doubt it will be very hopeful tomorrow either.

The more you use the tiptronic part driving the more the auto part learns

Oh.... so that's why my car revs to 7 thousand rpm!! I guess the previous owner had a lot of fun!

It hasn't learnt any habits from me.. yet.

How long do you have to unhook the battery before that resets too?

10-30secs is all you need to reset the ECU. If u double click the lever in tiptronic mode quickly you will skip a gear... so double click down from 4th and you will go to 2nd.

This also depends if the computer thinks it is safe to drop to a lower gear without over reving the engine.

    Enjoy.
