Non VR4s have 4 bolt hubs, EXCEPT the 4WD STs and STRs.
No longer empty and frantic...
As Paul says, the hubs are different - UK cars are 4 stud, VR4s are 5. As to whether the bearing in the hub is the same - I couldn't say.
Here, we usually change only bearing in hub
not full hub, it's not look like so cool as new hub, but not expensive
we use
KOYO DACF1092A for front hubs, it's the same bearing as in original hub.
bearing the same in 4 stud and 5 stud hubs, and also use on other MMC (RVR/Chariot Grandis/Space Runner/Space Wagon в кузовах N6x/N7x/N8x/N9x)
was LHD Legnum VR-4 Type S, 0,85 kg/m now , 4WD, AYC, [winter drift car team]
was RHD Galant VR-4 MT, no AYC no cry
was RHD Galant VR-4 GTR N1, ring racer, 407 hp
JDM EVO 7 GSR
Radical SR3 RS
well the 4wd STs are 4 stud to,Originally Posted by Paul Beazer
the STR has 5 studs and bigger brakes
So can we just buy the bearings and not the hub and press them on to the hub ??
ian
yes but unless you are tight I'd go the full bearing route
I have done both now
Full hub was so much easier
bearing was about £65 where as the hub was about £150 (uk) but nick said £65 on an import
Bearing is KOYO DACF1092A but try to get one lol
No longer a VR4 owner
Ain't tight just skint !!! lolOriginally Posted by stuartturbo
got a bit of a rumble at 45/50mph and i only got one ear so can't tell what side its at ,so might do both bearings intead of one hub !!

I would think it is the 4 stud hub rather than for a VR4Originally Posted by alendil
hmm koyo bearing price in russia around 40 USD, but hub ~ 150$, large difference
If i can get a bearing for 50-60 quid then im goin down that road , have use of a press and a big hammer !!
ian
press is enought
Just been crimbo shopping and called into a motor factor place , 1996-2001 front wheel bearing and hub complete for 4WD 4WS Galant /Legnum ...............£55 + V.A.T
I nearly fell over , he also says if i can wait a few days it will be a bit cheaper !!!!!!!!!!!!
ian
Sure it's the right one? 4WD 4WS suggest 7G to me, though the date range is correct.Originally Posted by ianturbo
