One of my wheel bearings is loose so I've ordered a pair from the US as well. Bit more expensive just now but still a better price than Camskill or anywhere else I have found.

While fitting the wideband lambda I checked the front wheel bearings while the car was off the ground. Both are a bit loose including the new one I bought from the States. I may just have been unlucky with the ones I bought and will fit the spare I have and order a couple more and see if they last longer. The new one was fitted in January and the roads up here are in very poor condition but it is still a very quick failure
Anybody else had any problems with the US ones.

Very premature I would say. I've had 3 8G's over a 7 year period and never replaced a wheel bearing. The roads in the West Country aren't the greatest.

My US ones are still going strong. I'm sure it will just be bad luck. Still a bummer for you though.

Yes I think so and I wouldn't be surprised if they have suffered due to my suspension setup. I emailed best suspension today and asked for the cost for delivery for another 2 and they now want $98 for delivery . The last pair were $62. They said $62 was for one hub so I don't know if they made a mistake or are just trying to make some more money

IIRC I paid $99 for the bearings and $98 for delivery.

I'm sure it cost almost exactly £100 for 2 at the time, with a 2:1 exchange rate.

Thanks Nick they must have made a mistake as that is the cost you have a the start of the thread. I've emailed some of the other sellers in the US but if they don't get back to me quickly I'll order from the same guys again.

Couldn't get a better price in the US so ordered from best suspension again. £133 a pair including delivery . I had to pay customs last time so I assume I will be again

I have another bearing with play. This one is from the same batch of 2 I bought a while ago. The other new one is fine so it's looks like there may well have been a bad batch

Peter, I bought a set from Best Suspension too, so far I have found them to be excellent, but I'll keep an eye on mine, I bought them in January does that correspond with when you got yours?

I would have bought my ones in November/December going by when I changed them. I think I have just been unlucky with the pair I bought as there haven't been any reports from anybody else of these ones failing.

Mine are still going strong, including several thrapes round tracks etc.

(Although I may have just put the kiss of death on them!!)
