Cool Wining and Dining in the Leeds area

Have booked a hotel for next weekend to take wor lass out.
I've done a quick scan of the net for decent restaraunts, pubs and clubs and feel I'd be better off with some personal advice.

Anyone been recently and can make any good recommendations?
I'd like to stay in one area if it's possible.

    Restaraunts:
I've hear Dino's is good (Italian) but am open to suggestions.
There do seem to be a few Mexicans but I find not many places can do a good Mexican ie. not Chiquitos

    Bars:
Those near the Cornmill Exhange, student area is a bit out of the way

    Clubs:
Not sure, does anyone know any that do a good mix?
    The Warehouse? Po Na Na?

    Here's wishin and a hoping someone's been recently :-b

    Leeds restaurants

There is 'The Room' which is meant to be a bit swanky.

Also 'Sous le Nez', good if you have deep pockets.

Otherwise you have 'Heathcotes' by the canal.

If these are not up your street you could try Pizza Express, Ask or Burger King

You can find reviews of all these places on the net. I have had a look because I am taking the Fiancee for a romantic weekend (in Leeds!?!?! ). Staying in Quebecs hotel and taking her to 'the Room' for valentines.

    Hope this helps

Sorry, forgot to tell you that my fiancee has been to Heathcotes recently and said it was very nice. If you are not going until next weekend (i.e. the one after valnetines) then I will give you some more info next week after my dirty weekend :-D

    Leeds scene

Sorry mate, completely forgot to get back to you.

Had a great weekend for which the fiancee was mucho appreciative of

We had a meal at 'The Room' which is a kinda trendy wine bar cum restuarant. The food was excellent and for a four course valentines meal was £80 for the both of us, which I thought was pretty reasonable. Loads of very nice totty here...apparently!! (of course I wasn't checking it out because I was with the girlie)
The 'Sous Le Nez' was directly beneath the hotel where I was staying (Quebecs Street, near the train station) and it looked very nice and everybody said it was great food.
The 'Living Rooms' is apparently a chinese restaurant that serves great food (according to random bloke who we were chatting to after our meal)

After we went to a couple of bars:
Mojo - can get quite busy but good choice of music and nice atmosphere. may catch a glimpse of Moyles.
The lounge - didn't go here but came highly recommended.
    Comedy club - funny
Jazz Club in town centre near Corn Exchange - quite late on so can't remember the name. Was very good with great atmosphere and music. You need to get there earlish to get in. Was opposite Habitat!!
A club - erm, I think it was at the back of the corn exchange...I went home from here....I think!! It wasn't the big one called the Townhouse..the bouncers wouldn't let us in....can't think why :$ It was a small one set into the old railway buildings. Nice inside though.

    Other places:
Browns - great breakfast for the morning after. I had a fat boy burger which went nicely with the hangover.

I am afraid that is all I can remember. What a night!!!
