Don, already run the tyres at 36psi front and 34psi rear, I can't imagine a small increase will help much further, but I might try it.

It needs new oil this week, now I know you've said in the past that 0w30 is a very good quality oil and that 5w30 isn't quite as good quality, but better suited to the n/a V6. In your opinion would running the 0w30 in the ST-R cause any problems?

I didn't realise that you where running 'hard' already. It would be wrong to say that Amsoil 5w-30 and 10w-30 are not as good a quality. Its true but the 0w-30 is really in a league of its own. Bottom line is the 5w-30 is great for the non turbo and the 10w-30 for the turbo V6.
If you have a problem with getting Amsoil just contact me on 07949 944523 email don@performanceoilsltd.co.uk or web at http://www.performanceoilsltd.co.uk/

Best oil you can get; might be overkill unless you thrash the car or want to go for extended oil drain intervals.

My company has Prius work cars and on the contrary, when both motors kick in they have plenty of oomph. 117kW or something like that. Boot seems adequate, but have never really put much in one. Looks big enough for golf clubs anyway,

All of our server engineer cars are Prius Hybrids... The team leader has got over 700km on a tank running around Auckland for a week....

I'm pretty well convinced that anything under 10ltr/100kms for a mid+ sized, decade old V6 is pretty damn good.

What else can (consistantly) achieve those figures?

Thought I'd bump this, can't beleive it has been virtually a year since I posted this!

The car is up to 128,000km now and after winter I finally managed to convince her that 4wd was worth using a bit more petrol. There have been no mods, anyway shape or form on the car.

I have had numerous tanks under 8l/100km, my best was 7.71l/100km. Mighty proud of that!

My plan for it in the short term at least is getting some lowering springs for it, which might help a bit!

In this sort of weather the 4 WD is certainly worth it.

Car measured 30oC on the northern motorway heading to Orewa today... driving at a sedate 95-100km/h.

Once on secondary roads it dropped to 27oC

I've realised that I get 50 points back on my licence this year because it was in Aug 2007 that I received the Big Fine in the MR2 GT.
