right so a guy has come into my work wanting to trade in his vr4. its a pearl white galant with full mitsi service history. its tiptronic and looks to be in good shape.

HOWEVER it has done 200000km. so all the wholsalers we would pass it on to are offereing next to nothing. highest was $3500. he saw my car with the cvr4 sickers and asked if i could ask around for him.

so would anyone be interested?

I doubt it'd be worth much more than that sorry. Tell him to swap the momo wheel with someone else, he'll get a few hundred for it

If we were in the US, I am sure most people would not consider 200,000 kms (124,000 miles) to be that high. We are spoilt by all the low mileage Japanese imports which aren't necessarily any good, despite having lower odometer readings. Surely a 6A13tt engine is good for at least 300,000+ kms if not thrashed?

yea he wants to trade it, but we have pretty much told him its not worth anything! he just doesnt understand why. as i told him, look on trade me at what they are going for with lower k's and get back to me!

buy my engine for 450 as a spare then you can have a 135,000 km vr4 for 4450

it looks like a nice car but i wouldnt pay what he wants for it

i think his main problem is that he bought it years ago as a fresh import with sub 80,000kms from mitsi, so he would have paid top dollar.

while he has owned it it has driven for south head to titirangi everyday - hence the k's.

so i think he cant hadle how much money he has lost on it
