Does anyone know the model number of the turbo's fitted on a VR4?

Has anybody looked into upgrading their turbos or swapping them for a different type? Does anyone know the max boost that the standard turbos will give.
I was thinking about the turbos from a 3000GT. Does anyone know if they are bigger or produce more boost?

I am lead to believe that the turbos on the 3000GT are different and will not fit/work. I think after that was confirmed nobody looked in to them further.

Somehwere there is a thread with the model number of the turbo, but I can't find it....
