    Got myself an S-AYC diff

Cheap as, hoping the problem is something simple. If the gears are broken I'm hoping I'll be able to swap in my gears from my diff. If not, well it was cheaper than buying one normally

Will it be able to handle the power upgrades you'll be getting with the garrett 25/28 turbos?
I'm not arguing...I'm just offering an endless series of contrary points of view.

I would reckon a whine was more of a fluids issue, so hopefully that should be alright. They are pretty different inside, the side with the ayc bits is quite different, do a search for posts by be for one called "evo 8 diff fitted and working", there are links to pictures and info etc. you will notice a difference, Louis

Yeah I wonder if I'll be able to get it here for the workshop day. I'm hoping it is just fluids, if not I'm guessing it will be a bearing or perhaps some of the gears are worn.

the clutch packs shouldn't whine when driving in a straight line though. Only gears and bearings should make a noise.

Anyway, I'll find out when I go and pick it up

just thought but wouldn't you need a S-AYC ecu to go with it or does the normal AYC ECU do the job.

    Bye for Now!

I also know someone who re-does the clutch packs on these for about $100, so even if they are screwed, I'll be able to get it sorted
