Need engine swap help in Auckland

Anyone is able to help out with engine swap how hard is it?

Just got a manual vr4 legnum 1996 in mint condition with blown motor, as well bought engine of a 1999 vr4 tiptronic engine with 75k on the clock. Wanna fit it in and give any parts of the old engine to anyone who needs them. Any help would be appreciated.

..how blown is the old engine? Suitable for a rebuild?

Its a decent sized job from what i have seen on here, probably a full weekends worth, and youd want an engine crane. Im assuming you'v got a place to do it?

Youd also want to have all the fluids etc you'll need.

I would be keen to help out next weekend, and iv got 99% of the tools kicking around the place, but i'm not keen on taking it on by myself.. Im imagining it will be a wee bit harder than a clutch change..

Anyone else want to make a mini-meet out of it?

Im planning on doing it owtside of my house got some space there dont think its going to rain have had plenty of work done on cars owtside of house in my driveway done.Wouldnt stand on the way of anything anyway.
As for crane, im planning on buying one next week before i start work, always needed one and as well can borrow to anyone who will need in the future. As for all the liquids its the last thing im worried about, when ill get the engine replaced then ill get them. Old engine had a good boost on it and it has actually driven well, it is suitable for rebuild will either need piston or big end bearing replaced as im not 100% sure which one of those it is.

OM PLANNING ON DOING THE SWAP NEXT WEEKEND AT MY HOUSE IN TAKAPUNA, I HAVE DAYS OFF ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS WELL SO WILL DO IT FOLLOWING WEEK MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS WELL. IM PLANNING ON PURCHASING ENGINE HOIST, UNLESS YOU ALLREADY HAVE 1 AND THAT WILL MAKE JOB MUCH EASIER.

i maybe able to lend a hand. engine swaps are actually quite easy. does your new engine a any of the loom etc on it?

It would sound like you've got a spare 1999 rolling chassis too, care to chuck up some pics of that because I'm guessing you will be getting rid of it's parts as well.
