Need engine swap help in Auckland

yeah, but I won't be home before 6pm either day

bummer, i start work at 8pm lol
gotta love those swing shifts.

Ok i have the engine hoist sorted, just need to pick it up and its all mine.
Car is in CBD parked at my apartment will tow it later.
Engine is in workshop in otahuhu so will just tow it from there to yours Brad.

So far all set for the coming weekend.
When i get my pay on thursday im off to shops to get Oil,filter, radiator liquid and a battery as the one onlegnum is flat.

Anything else i missed??

I'll bring most of my tools, and im sure carsten will have anything i miss.

You'll be wanting to change the gearbox and transfer case oils too. The amounts required are around here somewhere. Also, i am assuming you have a usable set of sparkplugs after the engine failure, or with the new engine?

Oh yeah and some sausages for lunch

I'll provide the BBQ, LPG and bread as long as people bring a bit of meat each. Anything that had roots, came out of the ground or is green in general isn't allowed, and you will be laughed at.

Ok have paid the guy for the engine and looked at the engine as well looks like all the loom is there as well as ecu minus the tiptronic transmission. Just needs a bit of clean. Brad im planning on moving the engine and hopefully the engine to yours this thursda, friday, what would be the best way of e unloading everething knowing u going to be at work still. Or wats the best way??

Well the house is at the end of a long road and there is tons of driveway space and stuff. The shed is big enough for 4 cars, so there is no shortage of space. As I said there is the engine crane as well, so unloading should be ok.

As for the best time, my mum will be here from 3pm or so Friday afternoon, so feel free to turn up anytime. I will try and be here then, but can't promise it.

if she aint i can just drop off the engine put it aside somewhere and cover it up just let your mom know coz i dont want her to turn up and think someone is dumping garbage at hers lol

i wont have much other than basic tools,

as there all my dads, and we arnt on speaking terms atm.

the biggest thing we need is the big socket for the wheel /drive shaft bolt,
32mm off the top of my head,

the rest is basic tools and a torque wrench....


oh and is you car auto or manual??
