    acceleration!

    hi everyone,
call me stupid (please dont! lol) but i didnt realise that the acceleration is 3 stage? i knew it was fast but didnt know that, foot down normal = bog standard acceleration, foot down = drop gear and fly away, but foot down hard = face on the rear seats! i only noticed the little tube thing with the button on top yesterday! now i know she can fly! lol

basically i want to know if this is a standard feature, god i love this car!

little tube with button on top ??

    Deffo not standard ?

    Any Pics..

2 things it could be .. Nitrous..? But i very much doubt it

Or You have an EBC fitted, that has already got the boost raised, and the button is linked to an Overtake boost setting that is activated via the button and is probably set to boost at a higher level for a specific amount of time..

More Gas ? More gas won't give you more power It will give you less

Not unless your mixing it with More air And the onlyway u will get more air from a button is eiher Nitrous Or a Boost Controller

My bets are on the latter

It will if your tps reading goes from 90% to 100%.

Which it would do without a button under the pedal.. And going from 90 to 100% is gonna raise the boost

i'm sooo out of my depth! lol, i have a few pics of the engine bay in the members car forum, try looking there, if its still no good i will take some better ones, someone at work suggested nitrous, but i didnt belive them, lol, if it helps i managed to get from 40 to 100 in about 7 seconds ish on a straight on the way to work, thats when i tested it out, its a rough guess, but if 7 seconds, sounds ridiculous thats because i was worried about how fast it was accelerating, and not how long it took! lol

But going from 90% throttle to 100% throttle isn't enough to give you warp factor 8 acceleration.. The ECU is already seeing WOT so will have switched over to the fuel maps it has... There would be no point of having a switch that takes you from 90to100% throttle.. It wouldn't give u a bigkick..

The only thing that would is an EBC or Nitrous
