And think very very very carefully. My V6 Sport feels like a granny with a walking stick in comparison even if the kickdown button as you discovered is pressed.
Even up to this day I still have the imprint of wojies seat on my backside without that kickdown button!
Period.

well i did warn everyone that i am a car noob, not just a Galant one! lol, always been tempted with cars but never actually got around to finding anything out, now i know its because i have never had a car worth the effort...........until now!
Heh! The V6 is a fast car. It's probably in the fastest 10% of cars on the road. The VR4 however is probably in the top 5%, and with a few mods probably in the top 2%.
The V6 is a good compromise for people who want a different family car with affordable running costs. The VR4 is for people who don't mind being done over at every fuel station they pass!

i have done some interweb comparisons. some results are surprising. take the lexus (LS?)200. 0 - 62 is only 2 tenths of a second quicker than the GLS at 9.5. the V6 galant is listed as getting there in 8.2 seconds. excluding the special editions (st, VXR etc) there arent many family saloons that would stand up to that
