FS: 1996 Legnum VR-4 Type-S Auto

To make room for my GTO, I'm selling my lovely VR-4.

Details are as follows:

MOT and Tax until Oct '08, 87000 miles, car is completely standard apart from some nice alloys, recently serviced by Eurospec including new front discs and new gearbox oil/filter. All usual extras including 4WD, AYC, ABS, tiptronic gearbox, original touchscreen console (MMCS), air con, full cream leather interior, c/l, e/w.

Looking for £2200 ono.

How long has it been in the UK for? The reason I ask is you can start to see rust on some of the bolts that hold the radiator in place and around the front of the engine bay.

That pretty much happens as soon as they land in the UK Brad. Admittedly it can be improved by regular cleaning and a squirt of engine bay dressing, but it's not a 'clue' that the car's rotten. It happens because of our climate and also because the salt we use on our roads here over winter is really corrosive. That's why we spend a lot of time rustproofing and undersealing.

It was registered over here in July '99, so 9 years.

C'mon people, the best offer I've had is £2200, I don't want to let it go for that unless I have to...

Likewise with my GDI - although having just spent £750 for a new MOT and 6 months Road Tax and the price of petrol, it may have to wait until next year.

I can't believe not only have I not sold this car yet, but I've only had two - yes TWO - people even bother to come and look at it!

Any advice on how I can improve my chances of finding a buyer???
