Opportunity came by and was gladely taken.

I am no longer in posession of my beloved VR4 Legnum, now before you judge me hear me out. About a week ago i received a txt from a person asking me if i wanted to straight swap my Legnum for their VR4 Galant as they have kids and find Galant a bit too small for the family. I thought well send me pix and specs and we will go from there. Car is completely stock with a 10CD changer it has a Boost Gauge that i am yet to fit. It is

    -1997 Galant VR4
-Only done 50k thats right 50 not 150.
-It is a manual as well and is in immaculate condition inside and out pretty much like my Legnum was.

So he came over this afternoon, we looked at each others VR4's and without hesitation decided to go for it. Pix will come soon.

Not everyday something like that happens, and i have been waiting for this for a long time.

Ok now you can judge me and mock me, but i stand by my choice. At the end its not a Honda I swapped for.

Sounds like you got an upgrade because your Legnum was not in good condition at all! Ohh and you still owe me money for a tyre

Brad- nothing wrong with Legnum its mint just a bit too big for my garage as driveway is real tight and takes ages to manuvre around but drives and sounds mint. Galant is smaller and well its mint as hell and clean just as if it came off assemly before coming to my place lol. Add me to the must pay list, when ill have money ill pay you for the tyre no worries.

Fully yeah thanx for support, i love the new VR4 its just what i have been looking for for a looooooooooong time. cd changer, yeah GAY, but at least TV kinda works, well except for the fact that i need to tune it somehow. Its clean and tidy and once arrived ill install intercooler on it to give it that smart and sexy look. VR4

No mocking required - it sounds like a win-win situation. I actually think it's nice to hear stories like this, especially as in reality, they are somewhat rare!

I will admit that I'm slightly chuckling at one of your reasons being the size of the Galant compared to the Legnum, as the only dimension that is different between the two is the length, with the Leggie being only 60mm longer! Does it make that much difference to manoeuvrability? In my opinion, it's easier to reverse the Leggie due to better visibility and awareness of where the back end is than the Galant.

But I digress. And to be honest, it seems that this is in reality only a minor reason for you... Good deal all round I say!

The Legnums are the same to park as Galants In fact I reckon Legnums are easier because you can see exactly where the boot ends, the spoiler on Galants makes it harder. Glad to hear you're happy though

TBH i'd swap my Galant Super VR4 for a Legnum ... weve got 2 kid's and a large dog we like long drive's but due to the style of car we'd rather not take Keira in the car as she'd be all over the kid's on the back seat.

pic's .... hurry up man, get the pic's posted

Only one problem so far, the TV is working but not showing the channels properly more like untiuned TV where you can hear the voice but image is all jumpy and black and white and cant see at all whats on.

Yeah Japan uses the NTSC TV standard whereas we use PAL, so I don't think it is possible to get a decent picture without replacing your car's TV tuner with a PAL one.

    Great swap mate!
Galant looks far better than Leggy.
Yes, leggy may be much more useful if you have large family & dog or travelling around europe but the presence of Galant is unbeatable

Yeah that does look like it is in quite good condition, unlike the Leggy. You'll have to bring it around one day!
