    Tuning

    Does anybody where or who does tuning for a legnum vr4 anywhere. or anywhere you can buy tuning parts new or second hand. because iam at my wits end trying to find bit thanks

    There are many people on here selling second hand parts. Try contacting:

    for a start.

    As to tuning, you will really need an aftermarket chip. Most of us that have gone down that route have a piggyback ecu, of which the MAP2 ECU is undoubtedly one of the best choices. Eurospec are a good bet to talk to about this, they have a banner advert up top and also benh is a member on here who is the man who can with VR4s. Other countries have apparently found a way of tuning the standard ecu, but no-one in an English speaking country has been able to do it yet. (Or if they have, they are keeping it quiet!)

    Not many sites list the 8th gen VR4 as a car for parts. By tuning parts, what do you mean? There are no bolt-on upgrades for turbos, but there are many other upgrades available - eg intercoolers, filters, exhausts etc. two of the sites with a specific area for VR4s are camskill and rhdjapan. I think camskill is a .co.uk and rhdjapan is a .com, but I'm sure you'll find them from that info.

    About 350 with a LOT of supporting mods and no one knows the ultimate limit yet. Most blows have been caused by detonation or excessive NOS, rather than the engine just 'Giving up' under the strain.
