Sidelights - one works, the other's dead!

    As the title says!

I went to fit my new Philips BlueVision sidelights this evening and the driver's side is dead - yet the passenger side is fine. I put the original good bulb in and that one won't work now either.

Having tried wiggling the wires around on the dead side's socket hasn't helped - everything is as tight as you'd expect.

    Any ideas, please?

All my other lights work - main beam, dipped beam, fogs - no problem.

You checked the fuse Phil? I think there's one per side?

Ah ha! Didn't know there were left and right fuses! Thanks Kieran!

Looking at the owner's handbook, would it be engine compartment fuses #10 or 11 - they are listed as tail lamps (left) and tail lamps (right)? The icons have a light shining in both directions so that would mean front and rear?

Lifesaver! Thank you! Will give it a go tomorrow evening - the rain came down earlier and left me confused as to why one side goes and the other was fine.

If the fuse has popped, I think it knocks out the rear tail lamps, not 100% on that tho - might be useful for a quick check?

    You're the man!

    You're 100% spot on

It's knocked my rear tails out on that same side of the car!

Thanks Kieran for sorting this out for me! I never realised the side lights had their own fuse!
