    Thumbs down Confused :)

Been reading up (in the members area) about changing the brakes...

Is it impossible to put brembo's on to a P-reg (96) leggy vr4?

What brake mods are available? I have a fairly heavy right-foot when it comes to acceleration or braking and I'm worried that I'll go through the standard set in no time at all

alternatively should I be looking to change out the discs / pads for something a bit more substantial?
    (EBC / green stuff)?

Nothings impossible if you have enough money and/or the right skills. However, they aren't a simple bolt on modification for the pre-facelift cars as they are the post. Unless your going to track your car, just uprate the pads* and discs to something more racy and you should be ok.

    [EDIT: *Search for carbotech pads]

As Steve says, the Brembo set up is a straight bolt for post facelift cars. I've now got a pre-facelift and upgraded the pads to EBC Redstuff. Seems to work OK. I'll tell you more after TRAX on Sunday

To put Brembos on a Prefacelift you'll need postfacelift hubs and ABS sensors.

    As above....

Also, if you have plenty of cash, there are option from KAD and AP for big brake kits for the pre-facelift VR4.

If I was in possesion of a pre-facelift I would be looking at grooved discs and carbotech pads with braided lines and decent fluid before I spent a fortune on a big brake upgrade.

You can of course buy these and then purchase some brembos
