Manual Super #143/283
I see no one has posted on here for awhile don't know why its such a good thread I'm picking up my leggy on Friday (stock standard) n I've already purchased 90% of stages 1 through 5 thought it better to do it all in 1 hit pain in the arse pulling the car apart every fue months....(of course if u haven't the $$$ to do all at once it makes it hard)
Was great to find a thread telling me I'm doing everything right now I know there's just a couple more things I need to pick up n I've got 1-5 clear....
After I've run all that in for a while n got used to the power and handling then ill look at doing the internals and tubs.....
thanx for the thread guys keep up the good work!
The only problem with doing it in one hit is if there are any issues with individual parts, it's much more difficult to identify. Usually, if you change one thing and then have a problem, it's likely to be associated with that one thing that's just been changed.
Of course, hopefully, everything will run smoothly!

Hahah yeah that's happened to me once before but that was when I first got into turbos before that all I ever worked on was oldschool cars (carbie fed machines ) but hopefully it all goes to plan I've done alot of work on turbos since then but hey will c how it pans out....
Plus I got u guys to help me if something goes wrong
saludos.

Decat (if legal in your country)
Hey Brad, are decats legal in nz ??
BUMP.
I think decats are legal in nz. But they aren't ever enforced. I don't think they are checked in vtnz wofs even.

My Legnum seems to have a de-cat pipe, been through two WOFs at a Mitsubishi dealer, although I do know three people there now lol. And this page mentions catalytic converters: http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.n...aust-emissions
Technically it does need a cat. That why you make a decat pipe with flanges, so if it ever did fail a WOF you can just bolt it back in.
That said my vr4 didn't have a cat and always passed WOFs.
To contact the CVR4 Staff please see HOW TO: Contact Committee or Moderators
Oops I accidentally meant illegal. So technically you need one. But if you can hide it. should be all good. And as I said I don't think they really look at them anyways.
You can get away without one in a wof, but if you have to do an exhaust cert because of noise you will need one.
On a side note. Anyone know what stock power galant/legnum vr4 makes at the wheels?
in the UK About 185hp-195hp 3rd gear run stock PFL auto.
Depending which gear you do you dyno Run in, 4th gear will get you more about 10hp.
but where you are in NZ you have special air and normally get more than that , LOL.

Bye for Now!
Usually about 140-160ish kw atw. Depending on k's, which level of boost the car makes.
Mine was 167kw on stm's dyno, while VR4 MAD's was 157ish. The difference was 1psi of boost.
Also my car had 52k on it and VR4 MAD's had about 80k.
