    Seat Runners

Recently bought a pair of standard Recaros off Caveman to put into my VR4. Unfortuantely neither the runners I got with the seats (which I belive are EVO ones) nor my standard ones appear to be able to do the job, regarding said Recaros. Has anyone got any advice about this sort of change-over bar buying a set of the corrrect Mitsi ones - presumably at an arm and leg cost

make a metal plate to be bolted to the existing holes in the chassis and then position the seat on the plate and mark up the location of the new holes and drill and mount.

Somebody did a thread about this exact thing (and how they'd resolved it) not long back. Trouble is, I can't for the life of me think who it was!

Thanks Pete, I'd already found that one - but as these are the standard VR4 seats rather than EVO or after market design, I wasn't too sure if the info would apply.

I would have thought they would just bolt straight in then

Thats wot I thought as well but the standard Recaros are quite a bit narrower than the standard seats, and without the runners fitted, there appears to only one threaded fixing into the seat frame on each side - not condusive to a secure seat mounting while

someone in australia bought the recaro rails,
    there about $350AUD each!

mine are fitted with the stock evo rails,
but the rear mounts have been choped of and changed to suit the vr4,
the front appears to have just bolted on.
