    +20bhp Exhaust,airfilter,Bigbore Throttle Body, Remap

Individual Throttle bodies may boost the figures a bit more, if possible.

the v6 throttle body is bigger than the vr4 one, so fitting anything bigger will cripple the torque out put of the engine. also the fueling on the v6 is pretty near spot on, i only found half a dozen places in the map that it can be improved.

    Methanol

Adding methanol to your fuel may yield some performance improvements:

Another option comparable to NOS is water-alcohol injection - see here for details: http://www.alcohol-injection.com/faq.php?cID=1#q9

And remember never drink methanol or you will get brain damage and go blind, LOL!

Before swapping the 6A13TT in the VR2, the previous owner has had some ECU tweaking done to the V6 N/A orginal engine and reached 185hp on the RR. Besides tweaking the engine ECU I have no idea what he might have changed else. Maybe "dutch driver" knows. But as said before, reaching 200hp won't be that easy without opening things up.

I agree about the throttle body- putting a bigger one on there (or boring out the one you have) will likely just slow the port velocity and result in less torque.

Always does on the FTO lumps.

    Cheers,

    Ben.

i think so, but the vr4 manifold needs milling out to make the most of it

If I remember correct it will fit on the VR4 as described by a danish member here. He had to switch the VR4 throttle for a V6 N/A throttle to get an original mitsu V6 N/A cruise control to work on the VR4.

100% correct. I have one and a milled out manifold, just haven't got around to putting it on the VR-4 yet

Just do what I did, simply get an F off big air filter + converter, cost £30 - £40 on Ebay and run industrial vacuum pipe from the front grill to the cone (2 off) obviously knicked from work, fit some of your wife’s old tights over the front with big cable ties (knicked from wife and work) install by aiming them at the cone filter using big cable ties and minimal bends (again kniked from work) job done this will give you close to 195BHP then simply get it de-cated sure someone was selling them in the members area for about £10 - £20 (not done yet) and you should have about 200BHP. If you are greedy and have the £££££ to waste simply put an F off gas cylinder in the boot charge with nitrous oxide (N2O) fit the rest of the kit, press the button and whamoo lots more lovely torque and BHP. Be warned NOS might kill her – reason I have not installed it........... Yet.

I am currently working on a system to convert water into brown gas (HHO) i.e. using electrolysis by splitting the water molecule into 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen to create a gas – if my initial calculations are correct you can run about 60% super unleaded and 40% water / HHO this will obviously give you a better explosion in the combustion chamber and either save on fuel cost or give you more horses – I am hoping for the latter – Remember its smiles per gallon not miles per gallon.

Trust me do not waste your money getting some Richard head mechanic advising you to open your wallet just to obtain a couple of BHP – get an engineer to search for the extremities and open the envelope for a bit of pipe and cable ties.

Results from any of the above – Priceless

Don’t know why you want so much power – when I first used my new Eagle F1’s I could still wheel spin in 1st and 2nd ,the V6 is a lot more powerful than you think (well mine is and I think the owner of the VXR I raced last week thought so as well – another Richard head)

    Hope this helps

i agree slimshady about not asking a mechanic. Did that a few months ago but he is full of brown stuff. He claims he got a 53 plate EVO and couldnt find 1 for less than 23k. Im sure my mate would have happily sold his 8 for 23k then had a nice long holiday with the profit he would have made after buying another EVO lol
Thats why im asking you guys. Experience is more valuable than general knowledge. Enthusiasts are the experts!
The reason for this is simple. Rent paid + 5 figure cheque (not my cheque but the car is being bought for me) = easy street but as im past cosmetic mods i want more useful upgrades. Suspension and brake lines are 1st on the list followed by full exhaust system. This thread will determine what comes next, probably piggyback ECU.
Wheelspin doesnt concern me either. I know how to launch a car off the line but i dont do it very often. Anyone can floor it in a straight line but im more into twisty roads hence handling and acceleration are priorities. I havent been in a v6 so i dont know how quick they are but within a fortnight i should have the car and suspension. I wont have to drool any more
