    do the rears have ABS?

no drive shaft, so where would the tone wheel be.

just a thought, i don't have any experience with small front wheel drive cars.

It is possible you have been supplied the incorrect bearing
Is the reluctance ring a part of the assemblyoptions
supply wrong bearing with A incorrect teeth on ring B non abs bearing
you have disturbed the abs sensor and either A moved sensor B damaged wiring
if you can get fault codes out that would be good but I thing that would require tech2 or decent code reader

the reluctor ring is on the hub or in that area.
It is normal easy to see on a CV joint it is a sqaure toothed ring around that the abs sensor picks up wheel speeds from

its a new car, and wheel bearings gone already....question though does it have sensors in the rear pads, obviously you have to take the brakes off to do the bearings(well im guessing that) if the rear brakes have a wire coming out of them, then they have sensors, if that wire breakss teh abs light comes on, on some cars, would check that first

normally yeah, but after all this is a vauxhall ! Its got drums on the rear, and basically all you do is take off the centre nut and take the drum off, the bearing is actually pressed into the drum itself and it all slides onto the shaft in one piece, thats how I knew I'd not touched the actual brakes. Well its booked into the vauxhall dealers on Tuesday and they have estimated £250, hence why I'm keen to try and sort it myself.

What part of the country you from, all you need to do is take it to a garage with decent diagnostic scanner and they will be able to extract the codes from the abs module
NO More VR4 for me, well ive still got the 6G

unfortunatly they're not covered by the warrenty, because my brother in law is a driving instructor, certain items, including wheel bearings, are exempt, so the leaseing company say!
