Looks like a ralliart special.. but the price seems way over the top!

I believe that is what they call a Super VR-4. These ones are kinda rare, but I have seen them going for loads cheaper and in fire engine red as well.

yep that's a super. 500-1000 only. Lady down here sold her super galant for ~$12000 in about two days afaik.

Super VR4s are nothing special...they were simply a run out model to get rid of all of the old stock of pre-facelifts when the facelift model came out.

The car yard in nelson is always way out of touch withprice but nelson warfys and boat boys have money to burn it seems cos their cars always sell

You have a point there. I grew up in Nelson and a few of my mates worked the boats. They'd have a heap of cash every time they came ashore which would go towards all sorts of mod cons and debauchery.
