    TD03 map

    Just out of interest does anyone have a performance map for our tubs ?

    I don't know of any detailed compressor 'Maps' for our Turbos - There's loads for the TD04 but not the TD03 - Probably because (as far as I'm aware) it wasn't used in the US in their 'DSM' cars (unlike the TD04 and TD05, etc. etc.) In fact I think it was only used on the Volvo S80 Turbo and more recently with the introduction of the BMW 335i.

    However, as Paul says, there's flow curves available - Check these out.. Though irritatingly there's no units stated on the flow curves...

    You could probably look at how much extra a td04 flows on those charts then take a look at a td04 map with figures and units on it to figure out what a td03 flows. Problem is that it could be just about any td04 shown there, from a 9b to a 15g.

    True, but it gives some idea of the differences.

    Thanks Kieran. I believe that the vertical scale is pressure, (atmospheres/bars) and the horizontal scale is flow rate in cubic metres per second.
