    to CVR4 Robert!

There are already a few of your fellow countrymen who are members on here, and I'm sure they'll be along to say hi soon!

P xxx XRH is a fairly common registration for VR-4s, but I can't recall which importer that usually means it is. Someone else will probably remember...

It's nice you've already had a good drive in the Legnum, without any issues.

As for the oil, the Mitsubishi specification is a fully synthetic 5w-30, although many members use 0w-30 and 10w-30 oils from Amsoil. In fact, a substantial proportion of us swear by Amsoil, due to the excellent wear-resistance properties of the Amsoil oils. Plus, if you join as a full CVR4 member, you get 15% of all Amsoil products. This is really good if you need to change the ATF fluid in the automatic transmission, as the saving is more than the membership fee.

On top of that, the membership entitles you access to the members' area of the website, where there are loads of articles on how to do almost any of the service work on your car.

The cambelt service can be quite expensive, due to the amount of labour required. Mitsubishi themselves can charge around £600. But there are a few independent specialists that can do it for less than that. If you do change the cambelt, most people recommend that you change the water pump at the same time, as it is a relatively cheap part and you have to take all the same stuff off that you do to change the cambelt! Camskill are good for all VR-4 parts.

If you have the double DIN MMCS system (that controls the climate control as well), then there are a few people that have this, and can probably tell you if there's anything you can do or help with some of the controls! But the TV system won't work over here, unless you use some sort of direct source, like a DVD player or something.

Anyway, I've waffled on enough (!) and I'll let some of the others say hi instead!

Yep never but semish1tthetic in her!

Ayc reservoir has atf in it same as the auto gear box.
Ayc clutch pack has atf same as auto gear box(this is part of the rear diff)
Rear diff gear side has gear oil in it.

The sat nav sounds like a after market one, not a mitsi one.

As Nev said £20 will give you access to the members section and loads of this info is in there.

Where do you live, there may be a member that lives close to you that can point at the parts you need to look at or even do the work for you.

It's about 10-12 litres when doing a full flush. You would be safest to get 15 litres, as you can also use it in the AYC reservoir (in the boot) and in the AYC clutches on the rear diff itself (both take just under a litre).

Unless it's the ultra-rare orange ATF from Mitsubishi (unlikely), the ATF should be a nice ruby-red colour. If it has gone a bit orange, or brown, then it needs changing. If it is still red - then there's probably not much to worry about with it. Just drop a little off the ATF dipstick (found between the battery tray and air intake) onto some white kitchen towel or something to see what colour it is.

There is a few Polish around here (Swinks, Kochajj and myself)
If you need any info, here is the best place to ask.
£20 worth of membreship fee is the best money you can spend on your car.
    And welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure where you are based mate but guys from Eurospec 2000 down in Guildford are one of the best places to get the service on your car done.
Look here for prices and info:
    http://www.euro-spec2000.co.uk/Mitsubishi/Galant/
Speak to benh on this forum for more details.

Few members here also do servicing, just ask the question around.

Before you put freash oil in use an engine flush. If you are not using Amsoil SSO 0w-30 then use a 10w-30 in preference to a 5w-30, there are technical reasons for this but do make sure its fully synthetic.
Real oil in the UK if available from Amsoil , Motul and Castrol (Edge only) and frankly thats about it IMHO of course.
If you have a problem with getting Amsoil just contact me on 07949 944523 email don@performanceoilsltd.co.uk or web at http://www.performanceoilsltd.co.uk/

Your car is P177, mine was P260.
Mine was registered in February 2008, yours probably not too long before this.
Perhaps give Ebony & Ivory a ring to ask if they changed the cambelt when it was originally sold by them.
