5W40 should be fine, but it's strongly recommended to change to AMSOIL next time you do an oil change.
With regards to the calipers, use SEARCH, there was plenty said about it already.

Performance Oils is the UK distributor for Amsoil, and Don from there often posts on here, under the username Amsoil.
Paid-up members get 15% off all Amsoil products, so my membership has already paid for itself several times over, as I have done the ATF, both AYC fluids, and both diffs, as well as a couple of engine oil changes...
EDIT: Wrong info posted hence the post edited to avoid misleading.

Um, you don't put that in the rear diff or transfer box. Drivetrain failure may hurriedly ensue! Not sure of the technical reasons, but the ATF is probably too thin for the diffs.Originally Posted by Nevman
If you are using Amsoil products, then it's:
Transfer box (aka centre diff, an the back of the gearbox) - code SVG 75w-90
Rear diff - SVG 75w-90
AYC actuator fluid (reservoir in boot) - code ATF
AYC clutches (on rear diff) - code ATF
I may be wrong then. But I remember some discussion that the oils are the same (maybe lost in translation... AGAIN ).
Anyway, I'm sorry if I'm wrong but it may be worth checking with specialists.
Alendil, post your question here:

Alternatively PM Don 'Amsoil' - on this forum
Yep, that's spot on info there NevOriginally Posted by elnevio

Lol! As it is, I was just looking at the differing technical specs of the two. And there are similar properties, but the notable difference seems to be the viscosity, with the ATF being quite a lot thinner.Originally Posted by Nevman
But you are right, some input from a REAL technical expert would be helpful!

Your mechanic may not have a settings for our cars and IT IS NOT the same as V6
The correct settings for the toe should be between -0.09 and 0.09 (ideally 0.0)

Tell him toe 0.0, he should know what it means.
If that won't help, you may have a problem with camber angle but it is highly unlikely.
