    Congrats mr James.

You could always return your car to stockish specs and keep it(I know here there are stock parts that could swap onto it.)...

Your RX-7 is way louder than the leggie dude.

I replaced my 3 inch exchaust (from the CAT back) with a factory exhaust (via a wrecker) and the noise difference was significant (much quieter, no more drone on trips etc). I didn't notice any performance loss either (although my engine is standard).

To be honest, just sticking a couple of silencers in the exhaust will do the job....or maybe even just putting the cat back in!

Most people find a different back-box makes all the difference.

We bought a Legnum especially because we had a family: we had a 300ZX before and the legnum was a more practical version of the same thing: these are a great compromise between a pants family car with waft-along suspension and pathetic power output, and a proper hardcore sports car.

Yea James, what he said mate.

Forget the club and the fact it's a VR4 for a moment, a wagon is just so much more practical for a growing family and all the sh*t you will find you need to take, even for the shortest of trips.....

Believe me, a wagon is the answer.............

Now factor in that it's a VR4, and can go like stink, and you're onto a winner mate............

If noise is the problem, then silence the thing. You won't loose that much go.

    Need I go on.............

    OK I will.

I too have been down the two door car route with young kids. Not recommended..... Might be OK for a small second car for the wifey to take junior to the shops with the child seat in the front, but the moment the adults use the front seats and the child seat needs to go in the back, well lets say the next stop may well be the chiropractor.......need I say more......

There ends the advice from the 'oldie', who's been there, done that.

Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

    Another thought:
    Pushchair > Saloon.
    Shopping > Saloon.
Pushchair is now trapped in saloon until shopping is removed.

    Pushchair > wagon
    Shopping > wagon
    pushchair out of wagon
    other stuff > wagon
    pushchair > wagon
Child asleep in back seat undisturbed by seats being flipped or slid etc.

Society has it all wrong: women should have big, easy to drive, powerful cars that the men can enjoy on the weekend, as they carry stuff, need to have decent brakes and be able to overtake.

Men should all have small, two seater commuter cars with plenty of legroom, ample power and good manners in traffic, that can easily be parked next to the hundreds of other commuter cars, and ideally is so cheap that you don't care about people putting car park dents in it.

    You know it makes sense!
