Vr4 vs Diamante VX?? who wins?

im not a car expert but just bought a 97 vr4 manual..was talking to a mitsubishi dealer to talk about a service...he told me that the 2002 3.5L Diamante VX would eat my VR4!!!! Is this true??? does anyone know????
