Easter 2009 Ring Trip

We aren't actually going but as people keep talking about it but haven't done anything, I thought I'd start a thread to get you all on the right track, as by now 'we' have usually secured a hotel and booked the ferry

If you do the usual trip then the dates are Thursday 9th to Tuesday 14th April and Norfolkline ferry is currently £47 for those dates.

Anyhow, if you are planning on going - then I would at least be looking at booking a hotel room .....................

We have some plans to do more new UK tracks in 2009 so, on the basis that we did three Ring Trips this year, we decided that Easter would have to give - if all is well financially and mechanically, we may do a weekend trip later in the year .............

I'm not sure they have family rooms there but IIRC they have some sort of apartment that sleeps more people?

We are up for another Ring trip in 2009. Is Easter the best time though? As Pete says, track time is limited ... At least it shouldn't be snowing next year

Excellent news Brian I still think it's good in terms of holiday dates etc and the time the track is open......but open to suggestions

After all, I will have some KADs that'll need a proper test by then ...

I too have booked Easter off so would need to know asap. I guess the issue though is if we want to change dates then we will have to wait until the 2009 calendar comes out in Jan/Feb

Personally I would like to keep Easter - I know it'll be busy, but that seems to be the case more and more whenever you go. Plus I believe it's the only time the track is open for more than just a couple of days. Jane, could you PM me the details of that place we stayed at last time please?

Nice one. Thanks for the link, but we stayed at another place in October which was very pleasant and a little less on the wallet!! Anyone have ant preferences as (like J said) we should book it soon. Just been trying to finalise ferry times - will get back on this.

Yep that was the place Brian, and very nice it was too. Just off the beaten track and a 5 min walk to the Motorsport.
