as title says,
does anyone know where i can get hold of a diagram for this? or does any one know themselves?

No need to cross-post the same question to multiple forums - We'll see it
Right, um.... this could be a tricky question! Just checked the service manual and I can't see a diagram showing the lead connection points... What I can tell you is that the firing order on the V6 is 1-2-3-4-5-6, so as soon as you've found where cylinder 1 is on the dizzy, the rest should follow. I think the cylinders are numbered as follows, as you look in the engine bay:
1 2 3
4 5 6
But I might be wrong on that. As for where to start with the dizzy - Is there a marking showing the cylinder numbers or at least the first one?
ill give it a clean and take a look,
take it this
is looking from x view?
123
456
\/
Front of car?
thanks for your reply
Yep, that's right - Numbered as you look into the engine bay from the front.
dizzy starts 1 at 5 o clock then goes anti clockwise to 6, wont start so i take it the cylinder numbering is wrong or the new ht leads i have are **** lol
so then it must mean
456
123
surely the length of the leads are a clue?
Still here somewhere........
I'm sure I've seen the V6 layout posted recently asOriginally Posted by miller

also.
Not sure the lead length would help though Mike? Well, not if they're completely detached!

yea the leads i have are blue print and are longer than the old ones.
ill try it that way and see what happens, ive done a big service so i took everything off then realised i should of really wrote the lead positions down lol
Maybe some kind soul with a V6 could take a look under their bonnet and make a quick note of which leads go where? I would, but alas, my V6 has moved on to pastures new...
its ok guys thanks for everything ive sorted it out!
And the result is?...
123
456
or
456
123
or
something else?
I checked on my V6 (previously Nev's ) this weekend, and the results are as follows:
The cylinders on the V6 are as such (when looking from the front of the car):
135
246
And the firing order is indeed 1 2 3 4 5 6
The distributer goes anti-clockwise, with #1 at 5 o'clock... the distributer cap actually has the cylinder numbers marked on it!
Yeah Confused is right, if you think about it logically, a wasted spark system as on the VR-4 would never work with 123 all being on one bank.
Was doing a bit of research including finding PaulC's drawing, made this quick animation to help others in future
