Sorry for not updating as I 'm back at work and have been busy as hell. I have accepted an offer on the car and it will be collected on sunday. If it falls through i will wait untill i'm home in march and re post. i have had a lot of interest on and off the boardwhuch has been great, but i have been crap at posting the information.

No such thing as a fully-auto VR-4 - all the autos have both fully-auto and tiptronic modes.

And it's not be underestimated either!

Well... That's certainly true of the 8G VR-4 models. However the 6G and 7G models are standard PRND2L Autos

The tune is a variable thing, IIRC. It is in the region of £500 just to buy. Then the setup involves fuelling, boost control and timing where needed. Fitting involves all the splicing of wires that a good piggyback requires, plus the wiring and plumbing of an electronic boost controller.

I don't think Ben said it was as much as £500 to fully set up, but it was a lot more than £3.49!

I remember speaking to Tim (Nice But) about it, and the fact that Ben had the car for about a fortnight to get it set up properly!

Like Nick says, it depends!

At retail prices, the box is £545 plus vat. If you buy a box and have us fit it and map it we do a package for £895 plus vat. From that you can extrapolate that the fitting/mapping is about £350

When we did the group buys here we gave you a fit and map price of around £400 for which i did the fit, the launch control on manuals, and the boost controller, 2 complete switchable maps (HI and LO) and turn the handbrake light into a shift light.

So it does depend on how much of it you want set up (Thus how long it takes me!)

If its a group buy unit, then you can take advantage of that package.

If its a remap- ie pauls one- then its less since obviously i dont need to do complete map.

Hmmm looks like Torque of the Devil bought the car and has put it on ebay with an extra £1000 for good measure

he has also not mentioned that the MAP2 needs to be fully mapped etc , also for how it's seems to have got 330 bhp

Zee if you read this then please tell who ever buys it they need to map the car or they could blow the engine up

and thats only the starting bid i do hope he mentions the mapping needs done because you dont see many of these saloons could go for a lot more money as the lowest price ive seen is £3895

£2500 is a good price for a saloon even if it needs a remap. £1500 was way too cheap to sell it in the 1st place, you cant blame Zee for that.
