Roof Bars

Why are Roof Bars soooooo expensive cheapest Halfords do are £49 quid, jeez

I need a set for saturday, trip to Manchester Airport with 4 adults and 2 snowboards. Would be a lot better if i could chuck the boards on the roof.

At this rate im off to B&Q for some 20mm batten and rope

So, anyone any tips or links to cheaper bits of metal that will cross my roof?

Yes, I fitted mine myself.

Be aware - the roof lining needs removing, as you have drill holes in the roof !

oops These were just the bars which carried my roof box.... which I dont use. the roof rails were already on Mikes car.

ah- sorry, yes! Roof bars run left to right, roof rails run front to back.
