But service history, condition and desirability can command a higher price than we might expect...

Apart from some minor changes for UK market - - AFAIK speedo, foglight, others?, your car, with it's 'obvious differences' may not justify to many the premium price that you are asking...

That price may have been valid some time ago but now...?

It's not sold so either the right buyer for your price is yet to appear or a buyer is around but not willing to pay the stated price...

We have had similar discussions here about wheels - market has fallen for many things over just a few months or even weeks so knowing right price is not easy to determine...

As I said my 02 car with low miles and service record and F Brembos cost similar price as you want...

You know this stuff - with other vehicle selling for less you have to have something special/desirable/rare/collectable...

If your chosen price is what you feel right then stick with it but when it hangs around for some time AND you want it to go AND 'lesser' cars are selling, then you have to consider the price...

It has not sold yet, so if you want it to go, is it time to review strategy...?

More or less anything will sell, if the price is right.

If it does not sell, then usually, the price is too high.

Good news for someone else, bad news for me.

Either the gearbox on my car has just gone, or the torque converter.

Has anyone any ideas?

Is there anyone that does this work at a reasonable price?

Are there any gearboxes out there at a reasonable cost?

Or does someone want to buy the car knowing this work needs to be done?

Based in Warrington.

Pulled up at lights, thought I'd got a hole in the exhaust.

Pulled away from lights, thought back box had fallen of and trailling it.

Pulled into filling station, filled up.

On pulling away, bangs and whallops.

RAC & Garage think its gearbox. I havent a clue.

Could be the transfer box...? When mine died, it sounded like trailling back box...

well it is either the xfer box or you could have striped the splines on the output shaft .

I have an xfer box and i can do the work , just your a little too far away

maybe car planet ???

Car cannot move.

Enginge no problem. Turns etc. Can put in trip mode, green light moves to second gear, engine noise but no motion.

When first heard noise I checked to see if back box was trailing along the ground.

Nothing. Immediately turned to drive to garage.

I got 100m max.

Lots of metal pieces in a blender.

Pushed car back to safe place.
