    HP Windows XP Restore CD

Can anyone help with locating a copy of an HP restore disk please for Windows XP - I've an HP Workstation xw6000 model?

Somehow it managed to slip out of my big 'book' of PC CDs, on to the floor and I managed to 'runover' it with the chair's wheels and snap! It's now in two bits!

If I go direct to HP, are these discs (there's just the one) expensive?

    Thanks in advance.

We use HPs at work I am not sure if we have one for a xw6000 but I will certainly look for you If we have I will send you a copy. Dont get your hops up though as I think they are for th xw6400. If not I can definitely get you a copy for one of them.

I've got an xw6400 here at the moment.
To be honest, you really don't need a recovery disk....just any XP OEM disk will work and accept the license key: For example, I rebuild mine using a DELL recovery disk!

Best bet is to go to the HP site, and your model number, and download all the drivers you need right now, and burn them to a CD.
Then you can just use any XP disk without much hassle.

    Thanks folks, appreciate your help.

Steve, yep, I've got the XP licence key - just not sure what's contained on these disks or if I've a partition on the hard drive. My system slows up on the net a lot, losing wireles connectivity despit it being on the same network as 2 other laptops in the house that have no hassle (and the workstation is closer to the router in the next door room!). I was thinking of freshening up the whole machine (aside from my usual 'housekeeping' on it).

Tracker - that'd be wonderful if you could have a look for me. Any costs etc, just let me know.

    Thank you all.

Thanks everyone for your help and postings on this!
