Was at £3,400 (going by the screen ticket) - and now at £2,990 on the ad. I reckon you could get it for £2,500 as they've had it for an age and play dumb to to original price with a "who cares" attitude - you're here to see the car up for £2,500!

As Mike says it's a lot for that car - especially as it's on a 'Y' plate and you can get an 02 for that.

Personally, Vik, I'd go for whatever you want (saloon, estate, etc) - vut look for an Elegance. You can get one of those for that money that this one is up for. As you know, just like the V6 Sport - but with leather!!!! Like mine you saw and sat in!

Perhaps these (on AutoTTrader - here are the direct links)

    Elegance estate:
    £3,400 - 60k - silver: http://www.mlmotorsbristol.co.uk/12782/stock.htm

    Obviously negotiate for it cheaper.

Or there's Spirit's V6 Sport estate going for the silly price of £2,595 ONO!

sorry to get my anorak on Phil, but Elegance doesnt automatically = leather it was an option on then some the last run out cars had it as standard.

My 2002 V6 Elegance was badged as "Sport" and was exactly the same as yours but with blue cloth. My 2001 "Sport" is exactly the spec as the "Elegance" same . It was badge engineering at the Colt Car Company, the sport and elegance are the same car.

    hehehe! No probs, ritch.

I was going by the brochure I've got with the Classic, Equipe and Elegance that says Elegance had leather as standard but as an option on the Classic and Equipe.

Spot on though - the V6 Sport and Elegance are the same car - different badging.

    Dear Vikvallabh82

For insurance on a VR-4, first alternative £430.92.

    Hope that helps everyone.

    Cheers

What would a corresponding quote for a V6 sport with the same driver credentials entered be?

I swapped from a 2000 sport to a 1996 VR4 in 2005 (I think?) Both valued at about the same money. I paid £5 extra on the VR4.

FWIW ... I also say buy Pete's ... but I would say that as he's my brother

But seriously, it is a cracking car and goes rather well considering it's got no hair dryers attached to the side of the engine.

Does anyone else have reasonable quotes?

Has anyone found a really cheap insurer?

    Cheers Guys

    Try Sky Insurance or Lifesure

If you do a search on here you will find happy customers for both companies.
