My car has died - manual conversion time

That is what I thought when I fitted the later loom but it didn't work for me and I had to pull the old loom apart. In theory it should work for you if you can find a wiring diagram to sort out where the wires go

Here is an update, I have come to the conclusion that the later boxes you have (same as GTA) has no speed out put the same as the manual. I believe the ECU uses the output (and input?) shaft speed to calculate it. My wiring loom has no provision for speed sensor for ECU, it goes straight to speedo from the ECU, not via the gearbox.

I need to find a way of getting the manual speed sensor to communicate with the output (and input?) shaft speed sensor wiring.

Could you not try what I did by connecting the speed sensor to the whatever wire you have going to your speedo.

Will try it, did you have 3 wires? a ground, 12v and signal?

The solution I arrived at was not the best (pictured below); although adequate.
I'm now pretty sure the speed sensor from the gearbox, goes to the speedo & ECU (inputs to ECU only, not outputs) via a sine wave (or similar)
However, either my speedo sensor OR my speedo are goosed, so the research has stopped!
