    Rust...

    gawd dammit.!!

    i hate the freaking crap...

last week i had two spots on the roof to get taken care of and today i notice more of them.

small rust spots on the frigging roof.

will it require a full roof repaint?

day dreaming of 13b's , huge ports and suicide doors, and a few other things too I cant say here.

got small specks appearing over the roof and yeah sadly i do... will be attacking the rust asap.

Will they have to do a full roof repaint to get rid of the specs? if so is there much of a price difference between white and a darker colour paint?

would like a dark dark grey ( much like gun metal grey only darker. ) top and hood repaint

I would check that the sunroof isn't letting in water and getting it stuck in the roof.

That is how it works, there are 4 tubes in each corner of the sunroof that carry water away down to each corner of the car.

drop the sun roof and asess the rust from the inside, there are common rust areas on the sunroof models that occur above the rear seat area where the sunroof sits when open,um a good habit is once youv washed your car open the sunroof and wipe and relube the rubber from grime etc,and leave the roof open, but also make sure that the tracks and runners have nO gunk in there, such as built up tree fellings, etc keep the entire system well lubed at all times, all this will help displace moisture and rust, but treat the inside of your roof asap just incase...

Just took the old gal into a automotive painter...

i was told the rust spots are stone chips as they are not bubbling at all..

was told as little as 200 to get them taken out ... or 600 for a roof paintjob and the rails removed might set me back an extra 100 or so...

    so rather stoked about that
