    Nice work in progress

Are you going to widen the track of the car ?

    If so how ?

Just Wide Wheels with an appropriate offset? Or spacers and wheels ?

Or have you something planned as an upgrade to the current running gear set up ? Will deffo put a lot of extra strain on OE Bearings and joints if just with spacers and wider wheels..

Thing it will look very aggressive once finished

before you do any more spraying it might be worth protecting the window rubbers as you will find it difficult to get the paint off them once it is finished. the window is easy to scrap but the rubbers not so easy.

    Bye for Now!

well thank you all for the GREAT response and comments,i really apreciate it,a few questions i expected, now the wider track yes short fall,spacers... but was thinking on trying to bolt up evo6 complete rear frame as theyr wider tracked. Dave, thanx for the headsup, but if it dont come off i rip it out and put a new window in ,i have loads lol..Brad,so does this mean you LIKE?? if so ,its a good thing then as your pretty fussy lol...Louis thanx heaps,um but you can ALWAYS move to NZ,that way you get to run round outside at night in your undies and still work upa sweat, and tho watchout for moonshine!!!
this weekend i will be fitting the rear arche flares and cutting the factory arch away by bout 50mm and reseaming it further up.so im hoping to have this all done by sunday, lukyfor the mmig welder itll come in handy..

    Update #2

i cut the factory guards, prepped them fixed flares nd molded to car, also pumped foam in the inside of car wheel arche and also under flare, aswell as rubberiser to ceal and protect flares form stonechip damages too. note the flares have been cut as they need to be cut and lipped to follow the wheelarche now, wich i will do this week, bit of a mish as i dod it on the rear of the front guards already and was time consuming....

ps Dave the primer came off easy surprisingly lol,the rubber is non absorbent so i was lucky... and i masked up the windows this time just for you lol..

    A quick question?

Is your car on standard suspension? (with standard wheels at the moment?).
I was just thinking, I like many others am using EVO8 Enkei alloys, with 235/45/17's with 35mm offset. So the track is slightly wider. Also I have fitted coilovers, so handling is much better, shocks are stiffer, and car is lower.
The main bit is that for better handling people lower the car.

Question is, with arches fitted yours looks lowered already, will you still be able to lower the car if the bodykit is designed on the standard height car?, (not a major issue, just pointing it out as I thought about it, below is a pick of my car, it's lowered about 45mm ish)

Stock wheels are 46mm offset and EVO wheels are 38mm offset. With the 205 tyres on stock versus 235 on EVO wheels, the EVO wheels actually stick out 23mm more than the stock wheels, plus the tyre diameter is about 12mm bigger.

Quinton is aware of thise, I've let him borrow my EVO 5/6 rear flares and while he is doing whatever he wants with his project car, my primary requirement is to have 255/40/17's on 20mm offset wheels fit under the arches.

bang on the money Brad.... yea i am aware of the height ,my whole 09 scheme for my kits are to appear lowered whilst the car is at a standard or near standard height,to offer the dis-advantaged people the pleasure of owning a kit and not crapn the floorpan or smashn it, that way its safer too
