solid mounting/solid mount rear diff,

having had my diff out a couple of times now,
I've noticed the front rubber bushes are not so great condition anymore,

so was thinking about getting solid bushes made up for it instead,

anyone done this?

any good or bad points to doing this.

wouldnt it cause severe stress on it tho?? i know the p/shafts are coushioned but the diff itself will be at risk of cracking?? how bout nylon maby

actually alot of drifters go solid, as its less stress on the gearing, ( i think?)
but more on the housing, and it provides better/responce/feel from the rear.

its one of those trade off things like urethane engine mounts i guess,

speaking of which anyone know if theres any urethane kits that can be used on our rear diffs?

also how do you change the front diff mounts?...

it looks like the sub frame has to be dropped to fit them?
as it looks like theres not enough clearance to pull the bolts out??

from my experiance the ride would be quite harsh and when you give it **** (not that you do that carsten... ) it can be quite "thuddy"

id say so but i havent experienced a car with urethane diff mountings

pass.... id say if it does though you would only have to loosen it and lower it slightly
