    Mpg

You know we all have a laugh and a joke at Brad and his 900mpg VR4s, he maybe right ya know, well not 900mpg but the 30+mpg, I have just calculated my MPG from friday, tank full to tank empty, orange light on when fill up, and orange light starting to flicker
320 miles, 45 litres used....32.3mpg....in an auto, no stop start traffic thankfully, nice smooth acceleration, no booting it(apart from LHR tunnels, I had to, you would of aswell)

Is this not a new record??? I have some proof aswell, 1/4 of a tank used 100.2 miles used on photo

Lucky for some, I get 200 miles a tank with a combination of inner-city driving and booting it often

We've been approaching this once or twice, so it seems reasonable.
I still think a remap would save us all a fortune, though! I've had cars with twice the power of a std VR4 give me better mpg.

thats not very fast at all, have you tried the accelerator pedal?

Sorry I guess mistake, 13mpg on 91 octane, would I ber right in thinking this is correct, as its far to low an octane rating for the VR4, so everything gets knocked back hence lower mpg?

Yeah well my dads cars faster than yours cause its red so nerrr

VR4-Fan, 91 octane fuel assuming the ratings are around UK 95 octane, that is to low octane for the VR4, the VR4 is set to run on Japans 100 octane fuel, you need to run the expensive fuel in the car

I get ~20-22mpg with 97-98.5 RON fuel, mainly out of town, not hanging around

...that's imperial gallons: 1 Imp Gallon = 1.25 US Gallon

    Probably around 93-94 PON

No, lots of 5500-6000 upshifts and I'll often use tip to keep the revs between 3000 and 6000 on twisty roads to ensure sufficient grunt out of slow corners.

There's quite a bit of cruising between 2000 and 3000 in 5th too, which no doubt helped to keep the mileage in the 20-22mpg range on the occasions where I've done brim to brim measurements...

The car is used almost exclusively on the open road with very little town use which no doubt helps too.

My powertrain is standard apart from a 3" Fujitsubo exhaust.

I normally get 25-30, but as you all know I have had above 30 with careful driving. I still don't see how anyone can get less than 20 unless their car is a bit messed up (excluding track driving)

That's because you're in NZ. It's very common over here to see 20 or less.
