TCL OFF light and Engine Management light after spirited drive

Could one of you expert people advise me on the following, I recently bought my modified Galant VR4, it had been previously owned by a VR4 member. I noticed that after a high speed jaunt, the wee engine icon and the TCL lights come on for a while, should I worry or is this acceptable practice for this type of car.
Would like advice please from a knowledgeable person.

As for the lights, have a search for 'TCL OFF' and 'engine management light', and that should throw up some useful results for you.
