i am after some more information/history.

I remember that car when it was on ebay - Mainly because of the bodykit. Yes, there's some nice mods on there and certainly when it was on Ebay it was fresh off the boat, so that side ties up.

I would like to see some concrete evidence of the 341bhp before I'd believe such a claim though.

I recognise it too - but can't place it. I've even tried trawling the FS forum, without success.

Anyway, if you add back 10 or so bhp for what the pod filter is losing, then this is a 350+ bhp VR-4!

Could be allsorts. My 'Suspect' areas to check for play would be:

CV joints - Outers first.
Coil Springs (A snapped spring will sometimes do this)
Bottom suspension arm balljoints (These often sieze up, though they usually creak rather than knock)
Steering rack ends (which are now available aftermarket rather than needing a new rack!)

not my taste, it just looks like it is trying too hard. i am not a fan of "i have put a sticker on my car that gives it 20bhp more".

it has got a yellow top battery Gell filled (very expensive) i think very safe in an accident no spillage of acid.

full hard pipe intercooler kit.

pod filter (get rid of it)

it would have had to have some other mods to boost and fueling to get that sort of BHP figure. you would have thought he would have mentioned them if he had they fitted.

as keiran said above i would require a lot more evidence of the extra mods that have been done.

this f******* car is a curse ; its been passed round so many times already , always at ridiculous prices 'justified' with tall staments like 350 bhp +

With no mention of a Boost Controller or an Aftermarket ECU or Fuel Controller

And having a Mushroom Filter

I would guess that if the car was put on a rolling road today
It would probably get arond 241bhp

So you coming back to the fold

RX7 gone.. Replaced with a Super Dooper Smoother Toyota Aristo 3.0 TT .. Have now replaced that with a PFL Manual VR4 Although i'm yet to sell the Aristo (Can i tempt you, Sure your DAD would love it )

Wow.. that's an interesting thing.. It Looks like an Chevy Astro, but it's AWD and by GMC right ?

yes it is basically the same as an Astro just different front and badges.

yep , ive seen it i think 3 times im sure cos i was interested in it, ebay ebay pistonheads iirc maybe even an auto trader

it says 3 owners but i wouldnt have been surprised if its had a few who've bought it realised theres something major wrong with it and sold it before even registering it



but maybe am bein a little too harsh with this car
