    Programming a replacement key

I have 2000 Legnum and my key has the two lock/unlock buttons built into the key itself. I want to buy a second, spare key.. but I don't know if it needs to be programmed when I get it from Japan.

My local Mitsubishi dealer weren't sure either. Does anyone know what the procedure is, and can I pair the car & key myself somehow or does it need some specialist programming done?

EDIT: found this photo in the forums of a similar key

If you can't find the info here I'm sure Silicon Angel wrote a thread on OZVR4 about programming it
