    Question Removing factory radio/cassette

    Hi
I've got the standard Mitsubishi (japan) radio/cassette. I want to fit a Sony head and changer out of my old car. So far I've been unable to remove either the head or the box beneath it. For removing the Sony from the other car, I used some thin strips of metal, but they don't seem to do anything for this one.
Does anyone know what the removal tool looks like, or do I have to remove the centre dash panel first?

You have to remove the whole panel and will find it is bolted in behind

One way to remove the stereo surround without damaging the dash is to open the glove and reach behind the A/C controller which is mounted to the surround and push on it. This should release the surround without damaging any of the clips.
