i had to change all of mine. they had c0rroded badly and stated to crack being aluminum exposed to all the road salt we have here

All 4 sets of seats and lock ring are about £50-£60 for the lot.

then you will need the C spanner if you don't already have them about £20 for a pair.
Mr Voodoo on here was a Tein dealer i think he called his company Quantum customs.

hope this helps, but as said above any tein dealer can get them for you.

So after getting the shocks down to the bare metal and before coating them with Cold Galvanising Spray ..
    Whats the inbetween stage ?
The Shock Bodies have small pit marks, they could be the potential hiding place for rust(or the start of rust)
How do i prep this type of surface before coating them with the CGS ? Do i use a specific type of cleaner ? Or do i just slap on the CGS ?

    Cheers

PS.. Still can't u[pload pics to thread above..
Can someone else try and upload some pics somewhere to see if it's a site issue ?

Looking good Glenn. I've just covered mine in Dinitrol after painting them so no longer shiny like yours

When I fitted my Tein Super Wagons on the new motor at the weekend I noticed a couple of things that could do with sorting.

1). There are a couple of small bits of surface rust starting on the springs. Nothing major but it's obviously the start.
2). The green paint is starting to flake off in a few places at the bottom of the strut (the bit that goes into the horseshoe fork at the bottom that you always end up wiggling to get out).

I have given them a good clean up for now and rubbed down and painted some primer over the bit where the paint was flaking off before fitting them. But seeing as they have to come off again soon when I do the undersealing I thought I would try and do something to stop the rot as they say.

So, would applying grease to the coil help stop rust or would that make things worse?

And does anyone know of a green paint that matches the Tein green? I did some Googling but didn't come up with much. I had a look in Halfords at lunchtime and they had some Ford Signal Green that looked fairly close.

DEFINITELY buy a tester first. I have yet to manage a good colour match with paint from Halfords. I don't doubt it's always my fault.....but even so.

Great job Glenn, I decide to refresh this thread due to similar problem with my Tein type HR suspension.
One of rear coilovers throw oil away, so obviously is beyond wire brush job, here is picture:

My question is, is anybody used Tein dealer to refurbish dampers, so far I find this website http://www.tein.co.uk/product/products_support.html , but before handle my hard earned cash, trying to find out if is worth to give them a go or is any other alternative ?

Think Tein UK in Milton Keynes is your best bet as at least you know it is done proper - But expect to pay around £100+ per shock for a refurb
