    SPYWARE and other protection

Wonder what others do to protect their PC.

    1) Upto date Windows Security Patches
---- Reduce the number of services running
---- Lock the Hosts File from access
    2) Firewall for inbound and outbound
    3) Anti-Virus
    4) Spyware Protection
    ---- Spybot S&D
    ---- Spywareblaster
    ---- Ad-Aware

They say Spyware is the new scourge of PC's
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here

    Auto Windows updates.

    Norton Firewall

    Norton Virus checker

PestPatrol (adware, spyware, keyloggers, trojan remover)

MailWasher Pro (scans emails for virus, blocks spam, downloads one line preview of email, hides attachments)

And a router which also helps as an incoming firewall.

I downloaded a stupid file ages ago, and to prove I was well protected, Norton and PestPatrol popped up to grab a trojan and virus. :-b
