Sun 25th Apr Crail Raceway 1/4 mile drag

Just found out that Crail Raceway near Edzell does 1/4 mile drag events every second sunday!! and this sunday there is another......

    See:- http://www.crailraceway.co.uk

having only had my car a week I'm tempted, but reluctant to trash it.... although it would be nice to, well, you know, see what it can do, so to speak

    anyone taken a manual VR4 down the 1/4 mile before?[edited...inserted VR4 :rolleyes5 iwas'nt very clear the 1st time]

Did a 13.7s/102mph run in my Subaru Legacy RS-B. Crail's very popular now - check the website at http://www.crailraceway.co.uk

It's nowhere near Edzell, though ... Edzell is north of Brechin, Crail is south of St Andrews in Fife.

I was at Crail last week with my new VR-4. Only had it 10 days!!

It was a jap festival day :-D Had lots of looks from the posers wondering why an estate car was there :-b

I beat every scooby I went against and was only beaten by my mate who runs a 480bhp soarer

best time was 15.216 @91.5mph lot of improvement here I think

See here for a video of the run

thats a sweet looking VR 4 mate !!! great to see them being used properly :-D
As you say, there is room for improvement with BDA's de-cat pipe, decent [ twin ] exhaust, & a touch of boost etc !!
    I've run a 14.01 @ 97 mph. & I think PJ holds the current record @ 13.8 !!
welcome to the club !! :wavey:

    Cheers,

Only problem here is I also run a NOS 24v Probe and its taken up all my spare cash at the mo.

The missus drives the VR-4 so any mods will have to be done on the QT ozey:

Thanks again for the welcoming comments

I think you will find the de-cat pipe @ £45 well worth it, if not for the performance increase, then just for the noise !!
search the forums, & you will find some soundbites of Dave's & mine's exhausts. [ damned if I can find them though ?? ] :$
    I'll keep searching !!
