Well Peugeot won.. !!!!! Beating the all conquering Audi

The 908 HDi FAP came in 1st & 2nd place, Audi R15 HDi coming in 3rd and the V12 Aston Martin Lola 4th being the quickest petrol car..

Essex Porsche won LMP2 and Corvette claimed victory in the GT1 class.

This was the first time I went and I can hugely recommend it to any true car or motorsport fan. The event in itself is amazing, the track stunning, but also the run down through france, the cars you see, the vistors lunacy and the general party madness atmosphere is what it's about.. definately hoping to go next year..

We convoyed down Thursday morning early and came back Monday.. Our group was:
    Porsche 944 convertible
    BMW 530 V8
    TVR Chimeara
    Ariel Atom 1
    Ariel Atom 300 supercharged
    Ford F150 'Harley davidson' truck
    TVR Tuscan RR
    TVR Tuscan 2
    Chevy Camaro (me)
    Toyota Supra TT
    Ferrari 355
    Vauxhall VX220 turbo

our camp with the track 150 yds behind.. loud madness

this guy drove this 400 miles each way to Le Mans

    Gulf bus

    Team Allegro

Driving on the Mulsanne straight day before the race

    Mulsanne fun n' games

Aston Martin Lola front end during pit walk on friday

This is on my to do list. Some old friends were going to do it last year, but with Vicky being pregnant and going self employed I dropped out. So did a couple of others for various reasons and it fell through.

One day we will get there though! Thanks for the photos - it's very motivational!

I went a few years ago when the Jags won. That was cool.

Planning to go next year with the folks, looking forward to it.
