hi, I have a 1998 vr4 legnum fitted with a 5 speed tiptronic box which will not change out of first in drive mode can get second on tip. have changed both input and output speed sensors , inhibitor switch , and vehicle speed sensor have measured signal readings at computer all present. A km to mile converter has been wired into vehicle speed sensor to convert speedo could this have damaged computer for gearbox . Please if any body has any ideas or have incountered this problem in the past please help.

It shouldnt have damaged it, but it could be wired in wrong. I always wire them in using bullet connectors so they are easy to take out. You might want to have a quick look to see if its easily removed.
